This is the list of all the notes and folders in your database. You can reorder your notes using drag-and-drop. Drag a note or a folder from the list of notes to the Desktop to export it as an RTFD file. You can also drag files (.txt, .rtf, .rtfd, .htm, .html) or folders from the Finder to the list of notes to import them.
This field displays the subject (title) of the selected note or folder.
This area displays the content of the selected note. You may use the Font menu options to specify different fonts, styles, sizes, colors, etc. for your text. Drag and drop graphics or movies into the note field to add them to the note.
Hint: You can add Colors and Fonts buttons to the toolbar, to give quick access to these text formatting options.
In addition, you may use the Text > Show Ruler menu item to add a text ruler, allowing you direct access to styles, margins, tabs, etc.
You can use several databases to store your notes. Use this menu to change, rename, delete the current database, or to create a new database. By default, the databases are stored in the folder "iNotePad" inside your Home "Documents" folder.
Enter a word in this field then hit the return/enter key, and iNotePad will find the first occurrence of the word in the current note; hit return again to find the next occurrence. When iNotePad reaches the end of the current note, it will continue searching across all the other notes of the current database. Use the Edit > Find menu items for advanced search options.
Use these buttons to create a new note or a new folder in the list. To create a note within a given folder, select an open (expanded) folder first, then click “New Note”.
Hint: You can change the name of a note or a folder by editing the subject field.
